To start with I should explain what a weight loss coach is and the types of people you can choose to be your coach. Then I will give you 3 reasons you must have a weight loss coach if you are going to be successful in reaching your goal of losing weight.
A weight loss coach is someone who can motivated you, plan with or for you and keep you on track with you goals. They can be a qualified coach such as a personal trainer, health & fitness coach, therapist or a dietitian. You can also find coaches within weight loss programs such as weight watchers or Jenny Craig. It is often suggested that a friend or buddy can be a suitable coach to keep you motivated however I believe that you are best off choosing a qualified coach, it's their job to help you lose weight, it's what they do everyday and therefore should be the best at coaching you.
Why you must have a weight loss coach:
1. Have you tried losing weight and it's just not happening? You've stuck to your diet and still are hardly losing any weight.... A coach can develop a plan that works for YOU! Not all plans work for everyone that's why there are so many out there. You could spend your life trying to different things, your coach can take the guess work out of choosing the right plan.
2. Your coach WILL motivate you and keep you motivated, this is where I would recommend a paid coach, the reason being if your coach fails to keep you motivated then they won't get paid because you will give up AGAIN. Having a coach that you have to pay will give them incentive to keep you motivated. Makes sense doesn't it?
3. The last reason is common sense really. How to lose weight is something you need to learn, or you wouldn't be overweight would you? What would you do if you wanted to learn how to knit? You would find someone to teach you, wouldn't you? You need to think of losing weight as something new to learn, you need a teacher. You need someone to teach you how to be healthy, that person will be your weight loss coach.
So there you have it my 3 reasons why you MUST have a weight loss coach. As you can see it really does make sense to have someone to help you along the way, you can't do this on your own.
